The 2025–2026 cohort of the Empowerment of Young Leaders for Healthy China (健康中國建設菁英賦能計劃) had concluded with a Graduation Ceremony held on 25 May 2026. The event was graced by Ms. Li Wei (Deputy Director-General, National Health Commission), Dr. Ronald Lam (Director of Health), and the Academy President Prof. Philip Li, alongside distinguished representatives from relevant Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong institutions, as well as representatives from the Institute of Philanthropy established by the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

The Programme brought together 48 public health and healthcare young leaders across the Chinese Mainland to Hong Kong for 6 months since December 2025, for training and exchange covering areas including public health systems, healthcare management, specialist training, quality and safety, and professional regulation, etc.

In addition to academic and institutional exchanges, trainees conducted site visits to key healthcare organisations in Hong Kong, including various units of the Department of Health and the Hospital Authority, gaining valuable first-hand insights into Hong Kong’s healthcare system, governance, and service delivery models. These experiences facilitated cross-boundary knowledge exchange and strengthened professional networks between Chinese Mainland and Hong Kong counterparts.

The Academy expressed gratitude to all supporting organisations, including two Schools of Public Health of The University of Hong Kong and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Department of Health, and the Hospital Authority. The Academy also congratulated participants on their achievement and looks forward to continued collaboration in advancing Healthy China.
