The first Seminar on Advance Medical Directives was successfully held on 26 April 2025. By popular demand, we are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the 2nd Seminar on Advance Medical Directives: Best Practice Guidelines on Advance Medical Directives, jointly organized by The Task Force on Advance Medical Directives under the Professionalism and Ethics Committee and the Jockey Club Institute for Medical Education and Development of the Academy. The seminar is scheduled for 7 February 2026 (Saturday), 2:30pm – 5:30pm.
This seminar will focus on the “Best Practice Guidelines on Advance Medical Directives (AMD)”, which aims to better equip Academy Fellows, specialist trainees and other healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to navigate relevant issues arising from the Advance Decision on Life-sustaining Treatment Ordinance gazette in November 2024, before it comes into effect in May 2026.
