The Academy’s Jockey Club Institute for Medical Education and Development (JCIMED) will host the Exploratory Workshops on XR/VR for Medical Education, designed to introduce educators and healthcare professionals to XR technologies. These workshops will provide foundational knowledge of XR hardware, software, and applications, along with hands-on experience with a VR medical training platform. Participants will gain practical insights into integrating XR into medical education by understanding its benefits and limitations, exploring the roles of instructor and learner, and learning how training scenarios and debriefing sessions can be effectively designed using customizable XR tools.

The Exploratory Workshops on XR/VR for Medical Education is a half-day exploratory workshop, details are as follows:
