The Academy is committed to promoting and enhancing the standards of medical practice. To recognise professional competence and to ensure patient safety, the Academy also developed credentialling guidelines for performing high-risk procedures in appropriate settings. The Academy is also dedicated to promoting medical professionalism and ethical practice among Academy Fellows. Established by the Academy in March 2019, the Professionalism and Ethics Committee has been organising a wide range of events and releasing publications to enhance professional standards with ethical values and practices.
